The family of Vespers Shimuzhila, a University of Zambia -UNZA- fourth year student who died in the recent riots at the institution, has thanked government for help rendered during her funeral.
The family spokesperson, Bradford Malumbe says the gratitude is specifically for the provision of financial and logistical support, during the funeral and burial.
Mr Malumbe has also thanked other well-wishers as well such as politicians, civil society and the church.
Meanwhile, Mr Malumbe says the family supports government’s decision to institute an inquest into the death of Vespers.
He said at a briefing today in Lusaka that the family has also requested the Zambia Police to immediately avail a copy of the post-mortem.
