Chief Government spokesperson Dora Siliya has called on political parties contesting the Bahati and Roan parliamentary by elections to heed to President Edgar Lungu’s call for peace as they go to the polls on Thursday.
Ms. Siliya says she is pleased that the political parties in the Two constituencies conducted themselves peacefully during the campaign period.
She has also urged the media to be professional and desists from unprofessional reporting when carrying out their duties.
Ms. Siliya who is also Information and Broadcasting Minister was speaking at a press briefing in Lusaka today.
Meanwhile the Information Minister has urged Management at High Learning institutions to come up with proposals that will help in generation.
Ms. Siliya says public High learning institution in the Zambia have the potential to sustain themselves if they find ways to generated income.
She explains that Government alone can not manage to continue funding the Universities because it has a lot of areas that need to be sustained.
