First Lady Esther Lungu has praised a group of junior doctors from Slovenia for donating 250 kilograms of medical assortments destined for Nangoma Clinic in Western Province.
The donation was made through the Esther Lungu Foundation, an organisation that the doctors identified when they first visited Zambia in March last year.
And Mrs Lungu pledged to transport the donated material to the intended destination through the Esther Lungu Foundation.
Meanwhile, Zambia’s ambassador to Germany Anthony Mukwita said the young doctors were greatly encouraged by the humanitarian work the Esther Lungu foundation continues to do especially for people in rural areas.
And Mr Mukwita also told the First Lady that an NGO in Poland has also approached the Zambian embassy in Germany to seek partnership with Mrs Lungu on reducing infant and maternal mortality in Zambia.
This is contained in a statement made available to ZNBC News by First Secretary for press in Berlin Germany Kellys Kaunda.
