The National Sports Council of Zambia has described the death of veteran sports administrator Hillary Matyola, as a big loss to the nation.
Sports Council Acting General Secretary Raphael Mulenga says the council is sadden by the demise of Matyola.
Mulenga says Matyola’s contribution to sports in the country was immense because of his love for grassroots sports.
He has since called on sports administrators in the country to emulate Matyola as a way of honoring his legacy.
Matyola, who died after an illness on Saturday at the Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital, will be put to rest on Wednesday.
