Two key stakeholders in the education sector, the Teaching Council of Zambia -TCZ- and the Examination Council of Zambia – ECZ- have signed a Memorandum of Understanding -MoU- to strengthen collaboration in regulating the teaching fraternity.
And speaking during the signing ceremony, TCZ Registrar Ebby Mubanga said the mandate of the two stakeholders is to strengthen the quality of teachers in the education sector.
Dr Mubanga added that the signing of the MoU will result in the attainment of quality education to enhance national development.
And Dr Mubanga explained that the MoU has more benefits among them the exchange of good practices through professional viable meetings and field research among others.
And, Examinations Council of Zambia Director Michael Chilala said the MoU will tighten the operations of the education sector to ensure quality of teachers.
Meanwhile, Minister of General Education Director of Standards Sunday Mwape said it is the desire for every nation to have an education system that spurs sustainable development.
