Teacher Unions have expressed concern with continued reports of examination related criminal activities.
Zambia National Union of -ZNUT- General Secretary Newman Bubala says it is unfortunate that some criminals stole already written examination answer sheets at school in Mambwe district in Eastern province.
Mr. Bubala has also appealed to school managers to ensure that they put in place security measures to protect strong rooms used to store examination materials.
And the Basic Education Teachers Union Zambia -BETUZ- General Secretary Jeffrey Simuntala has also condemned the theft of already written examination answer sheets at Ncheka primary school.
Mr. Simuntala further expressed concern that both the Head teacher and the deputy were not present at the school during the examination week.
The two were reacting to the theft of already written examination answer sheets at Ncheka primary school in Eastern Province.
It is reported that examination answer sheets for 42 grade nine candidates were stolen by unknown people.
And when contacted for a comment Ministry of General Education Minister David Mabumba said he will issue a comprehensive statement after investigations are concluded by the security wings.
