The National Road Fund Agency -NRFA- says operations at all in land Toll Stations will be monitored from NRFA headquarters in Lusaka in live feeds by the end of December, 2017.
NRFA Public Relations Manager, Alphonsius Hamachila says once the project of connecting toll gates to the wide area network is completed, NRFA will be able to monitor operations of connected toll gates as they operate.
Mr. Hamachila says this will improve the efficiency of the toll gates and enhance security.
And Mr. Hamachila says NRFA will this month launch the road user master card called e-toll card.
He has told ZNBC news in a telephone interview that the e-toll cards will reduce congestion at the toll gates and will be secure payment method for motorists.
Mr. Hamachila also said this will eventually improve the efficiency of the toll gates and enhance security.
