Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- president Andrew Kamanga says plans are underway to have an Under-15 and Under-13 national teams.
Kamanga says this is in an effort to build a strong foundation for the senior team.
He says his association will focus on youth development as it is the cornerstone of Zambian football.
Kamanga made the remarks when welcoming the victorious Under-17 national football team on arrival from Mauritius, where they won the 2017 junior COSAFA Cup.
And delegation leader Kabaso Kapembwa said the association has made headways in addressing the issue of age cheating and hope.
And Coach Numba Mumamba said he is happy the team delivered the trophy despite having little time to prepare for the tournament.
Numba thanked the FAZ administration and the fans for the massive support rendered to the team, which he said played a big role in motivating the players.
Zambia Sports Fans Association patron pastor Peter Makembo led scores of football fans in welcoming the team.
