Vice President Inonge Wina says President Edgar Lungu’s development agenda includes vulnerable groups such as orphans and people with special needs.

Mrs. Wina was speaking when she visited Saint Anthony Children’s Village in Ndola’s Masala Township on the Copperbelt.

She thanked the Dominican sisters for providing a home to orphans and vulnerable children.

And St. Anthony Project Manager Sister Lucia Mucherenje said the village is home to a number of displaced, abused and abandoned children.

Sister Mucherenje regretted that some sections of society still consider children born with special needs as a bad omen.
