Minister of Health Chitalu Chilufya says it is on course with the modernization of hospitals in Western Province.
Dr Chilufya says this is in a bid to improve health service delivery at all hospitals and health centres.
Speaking when he inspected Yeta District Hospital in Sesheke and Mwandi Mission Hospital, Dr Chilufya was also happy with the cleanliness and the availability of drugs at the facilities.
He was also impressed that the Medical Stores hubs have adequate supply for the entire province.
Dr Chilufya also assured management at Mwandi Mission Hospital that in the next ten days two new doctors will be sent to the area.
He also disclosed that plans are under way to construct six more health posts in various parts of Western Province.
Meanwhile, Sesheke District Commissioner Mubita Siyamana informed the minister that most health centres in the district are lacking in several areas.
Mr. Siyamana asked for Government’s support to supply the needed equipment and drugs to all health posts.
