Zambia and Malawi under 23 national football teams this afternoon size-up each other in the joint 2020 Olympics and Africa Cup of Nations final leg qualifier billed for Lusaka’s National Heroes stadium.
Zambia carries a one nil advantage over Malawi going in the second leg.
This is after the Junior Chipolopolo beat their counterparts at Kamuzu stadium in Blantyre curtsey of Fashion Sakala’s 75th goal on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Malawi Under 23 National Football team coach Meke Mwase says his team is in Zambia to upset the junior Chipolopolo in a game scheduled for 15:00hours.
But Zambia coach Beston Chambeshi remains optimistic that his charges will do it for mother Zambia and make it to the next stage.
Meanwhile, Zambia Sports Fans Association patron Peter Makembo has called on fans to fill up Heroes stadium and cheer the team to victory.
Makembo has also reminded fans to maintain high levels of discipline during the match.
The winner of this fixture will either meet Congo Brazzaville or Burundi who are also playing the final leg after the first one ended in a barren draw.
