ZESCO United have maintained their grip on the MTN/FAZ super league summit after coming from behind to force a 1-all draw with Green Buffaloes at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

ZESCO got a scare after Youremember Banda opened the scores in the 22nd minute for the army side before Jesse Were equalised in the 77th.

Buffaloes coach Bilton Musonda said he is not disappointed because his team played their best against a strong ZESCO side.

In a post-match Interview, Musonda said Buffaloes will work hard in the last seven games in the quest to win the league.

And ZESCO assistant coach Alfred Lupya said the Ndola side is determined to maintain its status as leaders of the tough Zambian league.

He said ZESCO could not afford to lose the game and will not allow Green Buffaloes to take over leadership of the league.

In an earlier kickoff at the same venue Buildcon beat Nakambala Leopards 2-1 1to keep their hopes of entering the top four bracket alive.

Goals from Bayo Fahad and Chanda Mushili proved decisive with Nakambala scoring through Keke Sipuki for consolation.

Meanwhile, Power Dynamos were humiliated by NAPSA Stars via a 4-1 bashing at home in Kitwe as ZANACO crushed New Monze Swallows by 6-1 margin at Sunset Stadium.
