Tax payers in the country will now be able to self-print Tax Payer Identification Number commonly known as TPIN certificates from the comfort of their homes or offices.
Zambia Revenue Authority -ZRA- Corporate Communications Manager Topsy Sikalinda has announced the addition to the tax online web system, in a statement to ZNBC News.
Mr. Sikalinda says the new addition will allow taxpayers to register and self-print the TPIN certificates directly from the ZRA website.
He says the new addition also offers quick and easy access to taxpayer accounts.
And ZRA Commissioner General Kingsley Chanda says it is ZRA’s intention to continue to modernise and better their service delivery and ultimately improve overall compliance on tax matters
Previously, taxpayers were not able to self-print TPIN certificates from the web portal because there was no provision.
A TPIN is a unique mandatory number issued to all taxpayers for identification purposes and it has now become a legal requirement in Zambia that all bank account holders should acquire it before 31st December 2017.
