Funding for the relocation of the Zambia Tourism Agency Head Office from Lusaka to Livingstone has been approved.
Ministry of Tourism and Arts Permanent Secretary Howard Sikwela has confirmed the budget approval at a briefing in Livingstone today.
Reverend Sikwela says government is desirous to see Livingstone host the agency management to enhance tourism promotion noting that the relocation process is expected to be done by the time Livingstone hosts the September 2019 Southern Province Expo.
He has noted that the budget includes refurbishment of new offices in Livingstone and the relocation of staff.
Reverend Sikwela has called on residents of Livingstone to own the expo because it can only succeed if all stakeholders embrace it.
